Implant Dentistry
Whether you’re facing an extraction or have lost teeth because of an unexpected accident or decay, we have a permanent, restorative solution that will give you back your beautiful, natural-looking smile. Dental implants are a safe and effective method for replacing missing teeth with new, natural-looking, permanent teeth. At Maplewood Dental Arts we have invested in technology that allows us to use 3D imaging to plan the placement of your implant digitally using software and create a surgical guide to optimize your results. Implants help retain bone in your jaw and in turn support the integrity of your facial structure. Dental implants can also be used to secure full dentures, partial dentures, or hybrid fixed prosthetics giving you a full mouth of fixed teeth.
Implant tooth-replacement options:
- Single-tooth replacements have the highest success rate. Because they will never decay or need root canal treatments, they are an excellent long-term investment for replacing a single tooth.
- Multi-tooth replacements are commonly performed when three or more teeth in a row are missing. A traditional bridge fills a gap by connecting to natural teeth which can weaken and decay. Surrounding teeth are not impacted by dental implants.
- Implant-supported dentures replace entire jawlines along the top or bottom (or both) rows. These dentures lock into place so they will not shift around in the mouth or fall out during jaw movement.
